Circa Survie 5-10

So when i heard circa survive was coming through salt lake opening for coheed and cambria, i was super content. Im not a coheed fan. so i procrastinated on buying the ticket until day of and as that morning i had made up my mind that i wasnt going to go. You know, save my dinero and all. But my mind changed about 3 o clock that day and i left work early to venture off to the abyss of Magna, Utah. I got there early and there was still a ferocious line.

Anyway, Torche played and they were alright in my opinion, and while i waiting anxiously for circa to come on, I just thought of how i almost didn't come. They started the set with "Get Out" and was blown away. They played a great bunch of songs from all three albums and they were so tight. Anyway after they played a bunch of people left and stayed to see if coheed can win me over. Unfortunately they didn't and i left after their first song. I got this pair of screen printed artwork from circa survive, cant wait to get them framed. Never hesitate these kind of things.

During Desert Noises' spring dates with Joshua James, they had a day of his tour with a date in Fort Collins, Colorado. F.C. is a nice college town with a pretty kickin night life it seemed but at The Art Lab is where musical enlightenment was happening. After Desert Noises played, the 8 piece Candy Claws were next. The set was so cool, I have never heard anything like it. The quite harmonies, synth sounds and samples were very intriguing, not to mention the drums and percussion. Everything about this band was fun and warming. These people were super friendly and caring for each other and to us. Just an overall great band and group of people. I just hope I get to see them again.
